Dont think of 21 Wins and 1 Loss

Think of 21 Wins, 1 Legend

Brock was a great choice for it. But, I thought it would of been more meaningful to Taker's career if they left it at 20 -0.

That's just me though.

The way the 20-0 match ended with Taker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels all walking out together, the whole 'End of an Era' thing would have been a fantastic way for Taker to ride off into the sunset.

But then when it became 21-0 it no longer had the ring to it of 20-0 and in my estimation it made it less special, cause I certainly didn't see him going 30-0. So if this last Mania was Taker's last match, it was good to end it the way they did because guys from his era know it's better to go out on your back.

Yeah, I agree. After that match ended, HHH and Taker were barely able to stand (an obvious example that Taker just can't do this anymore).

But, it continued onwards. And honestly, they just weren't entertaining. Continuing it was just plain foolish, IMO. But maybe that's because I'm a fan of him.

Don't be a mark.

It was the plan all along. You really think that 21-1 graphic that appeared on all the screens was cooked up on the spot when Taker lost? Undertaker pitched Brock being the one to end the streak years ago. While it's true they tried to keep the ending as secret as possible, Vince knew.

While I applaud the decision to end it...I think it was a bit of a waste on Brock. He is a part timer :( It would have been great to set up for a guy that wanted to be a heel for life that loved the business.

A lot of people wanted it to go to a kid who could carry it for a while, but Brock ending the streak was Taker's idea.

In the end Brock was the right choice. He's the only guy at a level that made it completely believable that he could beat Taker. He has a legitimate fighting background, he has no problem dealing with everyone hating him, and not just in a heel way, but an asshole way.

They could have given it to Cesaro or Roman Reigns (two names that have been thrown around a bit) but listen to their reactions, even as heels, people don't want to hate those guys, and WWE has plans for pushing both in a face role. People want to hate Brock. And Brock wants to be hated. That's why he was the right guy to do it.
